The Guards Depot and remembering it fondly.
There is a location in Pirbright (or Caterham) that many will never forget.
It’s a location that turned many men into boys and brought enough tears to fill a few Jerry Cans, ten times over.
Whether you travelled to Caterham or Pirbright, you will have that pride in place that you made it through with so many stories to tell.
The Guards Depot is something that should always be remembered, and we love to create designs to remind us of that time.
Starting off, we have the ‘University of Pirbright’ design, which was the very first design created for ColdstreamKit when it went live many years ago. It’s often been copied, it’s often been shared, but at ColdstreamKit you will get ‘the original’ design.
We have a design for the ‘University of Caterham’ plus the ‘University of Pirbright’ which are available on T-Shirts, Hoodies, Sweatshirts, Mugs and Towels.
After creating the ‘University’ design we wanted to create something that would unify both Guards Depots. If you travelled through the Depot (Caterham or Pirbright) then this design would be for you. The design is available on Hoodies, Mugs or Sweatshirts.
The Sand Hill was also a huge obstacle at the Guards Depot Pirbright (I think Caterham had a similar hill called the ‘Sand Jump’ but this is to be confirmed). If you moved through the Guards Depot, you would certainly be familiar with this location and mentioning to others brings back many unpleasant memories.
We’ve created a few designs themed around the Sand Hill Pirbright, many of the designs can be personalised by changing the year (FREE of charge) to create a unique memento of the ‘shrine’ that is called ................. The Sand Hill.
There’s also lots of places that spring to mind at the Guards Depot, from the ‘Bayonet Assault Course’ to ‘Adair Walk’. We created a ‘Guards Depot - Greatest Hits’ design featuring retro Cassette Tapes with the location and what the backing track should have been. Take a look at the design and see if it brings back some memories.
We’ve also got those ‘Range Days’ where you probably came across a Norgi (Norwegian Container’ full of ‘All In Range Stew’ – we have a design for that, and also not forgetting the place that never existed ‘Frog Hill’, yep – we have a design for that.
All in all, we have so many designs relating to the ‘Guards Depot’ that there are too many to mention here.
The best thing to do is to click here, for a search query regarding ‘The Guards Depot’ to show you anything that is available, or have a look through the website where you’re bound to find something that brings a smile to your face.

Joined as a boy soldier in January 1971...Irish guards.....the training was hard and the mates I made are for life....I was only just 15....but it was the best day\'s of my life...and now at 67 years young...i would do it all again in a heart beat...(but I doubt my body would tell me other wise).....
I joined on June 14th 1977- Rhine Platoon Coldstream Guards. Shaped me into a very proud Guardsmen. It was not at all easy, nor was it meant to be, if it was easy then anyone could do it. Great memories. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Nulli Secundus, Blue Red Blue
